Frezza Cucina de Coccio is the name of this restaurant, but we also like to call it Casa Amendola. Claudio is a true host, he welcomes you with simplicity and sympathy as only an old Roman can do. Wanting to make a reference to the world of cinema, his restaurant is a mix of three movies: Christmas holidays because of the typical Roman menu, the Cesaroni for the family atmosphere and Sottovento because this place is as beautiful as the movie boat.
The job of a restaurateur is very similar to that of an actor and Amendola confirms it, he said that many years of acting have helped him in communicating and relating better with people.
The menu has a very specific goal, bringing traditional Roman cuisine back to the historic center, this is why Claudio chose this location for his restaurant, crock plates are the symbol of his project. The quality of the dishes is good, I very much appreciated the possibility to choose a half portion. My advice ends on pizza, low and scrocchiarella (crispy), because even in Rome you can find high quality pizza.
