Eggs
In the heart of Trastevere Eggs is an original concept entirely focused on hen eggs, quail, ostrich but also caviar and bottarga.
This restaurant definitely wins the award for originality, Eggs amazes us for the menu, for the ingredients and for several original ideas to say the least. The concept was born in 2017 from a collaboration between Zum (artisanal tiramisu) and Puntarella Rossa (a magazine about catering) It mainly focuses on the use of organic eggs of hen, ostrich quail and also caviar and bottarga.
The menu is certainly the strong point, there are many dishes with funny names, the cracked egg and the egg game are just two examples, however the dishes are not only pleasant to read but also very exquisite. Chef Barbara Agosti became famous for bringing her dish, a Magnum of fried carbonara, to Masterchef. Bruno Barbieri’s tweet “Don’t you get hungry watching this dish?” explains by itself the goodness of this invention.
